All are welcome to take Dr. Peter Schulman's FR/WCS/HUM 495/595 Francophone African Film Class in the Spring 2025 semester. Class meets from 4:30-7:10 on Tuesday evenings with screenings of iconic and thoughtful films from Senegal, Mali, Tunisia, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo among many nations. Discussions wiill be English, films with subtitles, and conversations around French colonialism, contemporary African politics, and urban/rural life.
