A public portal for community comments about the Old Dominion University Police Department (ODUPD) is open as part of an annual inspection conducted by CALEA® in an effort for ODUPD to maintain international accreditation. The purpose of this public comment portal is to receive comments regarding ODUPD’s compliance with CALEA® standards, engagement in the community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for re-accredited status. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns. The overall intent of the accreditation process is to provide the ODUPD with information to support continuous improvement and foster the pursuit of professional excellence.
