Calling all Etsy shop owners, cookie decorators, custom bookmark makers and regional artisans who sell, or want to sell, branded Old Dominion University products.

On June 22, from 12-4 p.m. at New Realm Brewing Co. in Virginia Beach, ODU’s Licensing Office and the ODU Alumni Association will host a Monarch-themed craft fair where regional artisans can register to sell licensed, ODU-branded goods or learn how to apply for an ODU crafter’s license.

This first-of-its-kind event is a collaborative effort to ensure licensing information and education is available to crafters who love ODU. Information will also be available for individuals interested in retail licensing and campus supplier licensing.

“Licensing is an important step for vendors who want to sell ODU-themed products,” said Brian Eubank, executive director of licensing. “I meet so many artists and crafters who want to sell custom ODU products but don’t know how to start the licensing process. My goal for this event is to bridge that gap and make licensing more accessible.”

The craft fair is also an opportunity to showcase the talents of crafters and artists from across the region.

"Working on this event has been one of my professional dreams come true!" said Lauren Ciampoli, director of constituent relations for Alumni Relations. "We're so excited to showcase alumni makers, ODU products, and friends of the University at this event."

The public is invited to browse and purchase one-of-a-kind items from more than 40 Monarch crafters and will have the opportunity to purchase Lolly’s ODU ice cream flavor, Ice Cream and Cake; New Realm Brewing’s ODU beer, ODU Golden Ale, and The Dirty Buffalo’s ODU barbecue sauce, Bib Blue Q. ODU alumni, Jonah Ross will provide live music.
