Faculty & Staff Volunteer Opportunities

Search through the opportunities on Helper Helper to find one that's the right fit for you or your next team building day! In addition to connecting you with opportunities, the platform allows you to post and manage volunteer activities for your department or university-wide. E-mail engage@odu.edu to learn more about becoming a Helper Helper Admin for your department or office.

Become a Helper Helper Administrator

As a Helper Helper administrator for your office or organization, you'll be able to post opportunities available to the entire institution, privately to your team, and track your teams engagement.

For more information, or to become an admin, email engage@odu.edu.

Recognition

We believe in recognizing faculty and staff for their contributions to creating a better world, whether that's in the classroom, through on-campus programming, or in the broader community.

Helper Helper Competition

Track your community service hours individually or with a team of colleagues for the chance to win prizes and bragging rights! On-campus and off-campus group volunteer activities will be available to help you stay engaged. New competitions start each semester. More details are coming soon!

Service Awards

Service to our campus and the broader community is critical to fulfilling ODU's mission. Each year, the university bestows the following awards on deserving faculty and/or staff who meet the criteria which include a record of community service. The Helper Helper app is one of the easiest ways to keep track of this service.
