Dr. Millicent Lee has returned to her alma mater, Old Dominion University, as the Coordinator of Diversity and Inclusive Excellence within the Office of Institutional Equity & Diversity. With a B.S. in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University, Dr. Lee has also earned two master’s degrees—an MBA in Marketing and a Master's in Education. She brings over a decade of experience as a licensed School Counselor in public education, where she dedicated herself to preparing students for an ever-evolving society. Dr. Lee furthered her education by obtaining a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Regent University, along with dual licenses in K-12 school counseling and school administration and leadership. In her current role, Dr. Lee is devoted to advancing Old Dominion University's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is focused on aligning the goals, strategies, and objectives of the University's Strategic Plan with the Monarch Plan for Inclusive Excellence, working collaboratively across all major areas of the institution. Driven by a passion for helping people realize their limitless potential, Dr. Lee believes that each individual has the power to change the world. Her daily mantra, "You be the change," reflects her commitment to inspiring others to make a difference.
