I’m the UNIX and Mac Systems Administrator at the Old Dominion University Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography. I am responsible for our data center, which includes large scale storage arrays and compute clusters, as well as being responsible for the workstations and IT infrastructure generally for everyone in our research group. My scientists study the effects of climate change on sea level rise, among other things. In my computer career I’ve worked at Johns Hopkins University Computer Science, the Enoch Pratt Free Library, the State of Hawaii Clean Air Branch and various NASA contracting firms. My expertise is in scientific computing with UNIX, UNIX security, and web development. I am passionate about open source software, and also love macOS. I am also currently a Masters student in Cybersecurity at ODU.
