Dear State Employees:
The Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) is launching an online module on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Cultural Competence. This is the first step toward pursuing the professional learning goals outlined in the One Virginia Plan. It's also in accordance with new laws passed this year. The module is entitled "The Road to Cultural Competence," and serves as an introductory session for state employees as they begin to enhance and develop their knowledge in the vital areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
The session will become available for registration during the week of June 7. State employees may sign up for the session through the online course offerings on COVLC and other agency-specific online platforms. All state employees are encouraged to register and take part in this module, so that we can all further our journey toward enhanced Cultural Competence and more inclusive and affirmative workplaces together.
