With the soaring cost of traditional journals, coupled with the unknown reputation of many online publishers, researchers may have trouble navigating the waters of open access. Old Dominion University Libraries is here to help, with discussions and events all semester long to ensure that you are well informed about all aspects of publishing in this brave new world.
Old Dominion University Libraries, along with the ODU Office of Research and Center for Faculty Development, will be celebrating Open Access Week October 22-26, with events designed to introduce you to the concepts of open access. All events will take place in Perry Library.

Many funding agencies require a data management plan (DMP) as part of the grant proposal submission process. Librarian Karen Vaughan will introduce the DMPTool which provides a click-through wizard for creating a DMP that complies with funder requirements. Bring your lunch; refreshments provided.
