NEA Big Read initiative “Health Equity: Where We Live"

Please join the NEA Big Read initiative “Health Equity: Where We Live,” in partnership with the 47^th Annual Literary Festival: Ancient Futures!

ODU’s Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity kicks off the Big Read initiative on October 8^th at 6pm in the Big Blue Room of Chartway Arena as Rebekah Taussig, author of Sitting Pretty: The View From My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body, explores “Transforming the Patient Experience.” During this opening event, Taussig hopes the Monarch community will reflect on personal perceptions of disability and will welcome diversity.
