S.B. Ballard Stadium Site Logistics Plan

The football stadium reconstruction capital project started Nov. 19 and will continue until Aug. 30, 2019. Parking lots 5, 6, 8, and the east half of lot 7, the visitor lot, will be closed throughout the project.

Parking lots 7 and 8 will be restored to current conditions by Aug. 30. Parking lot 5 will close permanently, and the capacity of parking lot 6 will be significantly reduced.

Construction traffic will utilize 49th Street, 43rd Street, Powhatan Avenue and Bluestone Avenue, with entry and exit to the construction site at the entrance of Lot 8 on 49th Street, the entrance of Lot 6 on Bluestone Avenue, and at the northwest corner of the stadium from Bluestone Avenue.

The initial phases of the project are the demolition and pile-driving. The demolition is largely completed. The pile driving will start Monday and will last for approximately 30 days. The pile-driving schedule is 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays. The schedule of these phases will be adjusted as needed based on progress.

The attached diagrams below show the logistics of the construction site and the impact to parking lots and pedestrian paths. Project updates will be provided about the progress and future scheduled work.
