Ranked by number of website visitors, the following 10 stories were our most viewed in 2020.

When Andrew Dotson began posting physics videos to YouTube, he had two followers: his mother and his best friend. Three years later, his channel boasts 147,000 subscribers. One of those videos, "Physics Professors be Like, " has 2.5 million views.

Old Dominion Named Among the Nation's Top Universities

Once again, Old Dominion University was recognized as a top-tier university, according to the prestigious U.S. News & World Report's 2021 Best Colleges rankings. Old Dominion remained in the top tier of the nearly 1,500 institutions assessed, and ranked No. 126 among the nation's public universities. Old Dominion also ranked as a top university for social mobility for the second consecutive year.

Old Dominion University has emerged as a world leader in addressing inequality, according to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2020. The University is ranked in the top 100 globally and the top 10 nationally. ODU is also the only institution in Virginia in the ranking designed to assess universities against the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global call to action to tackle poverty, climate change and inequality.

VMASC Develops Real-Time Platform That Predicts Spread of COVID-19 in Virginia

As COVID-19 approaches its forecast peak in Virginia, researchers at Old Dominion University's Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) have developed a real-time platform that predicts the spread of the disease down to the city and county level.
