Gov. Ralph Northam has reappointed four members to the Old Dominion University Board of Visitors.

Toykea Jones of Hanover, Md., and Larry R. Hill, R. Bruce Bradley and Kay A. Kemper, all of Virginia Beach, are ODU alumni whose terms were set to expire July 1.

Jones, a medical device commercial execution leader for the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, serves as chair of the University Advancement Committee and vice chair of the Academic and Research Advancement Committee. After working 13 years in engineering, manufacturing and supply chain managing, she moved into medical device sales for Johnson & Johnson in 2018.

Jones earned a master's degree in engineering and a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minor in business administration from ODU. She has established three endowed scholarships at ODU and served on the advisory board for ODU's Batten College of Engineering and Technology.

Hill graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from ODU in 1978. He serves on the University Advancement Committee and as vice chair of the Administration and Finance Committee. He is also the Board's representative to the ODU Real Estate Foundation.

In 1986, he founded L.R. Hill Custom Builders, Inc., which constructs residential housing. He also owns several LLCs which own and manage commercial property. Hill was a longtime member of the ODU Athletic Foundation.

Bradley serves on the Board's Academic and Research Advancement, Student Enhancement and Engagement and Audit committees and is the Board's representative to the ODU Educational Foundation's Investment Committee.

Bradley received his Master of Business Administration from ODU in 1978 and has a bachelor's in business administration from Villanova.

Before retiring, Bradley was president of Landmark Publishing Group and executive vice president of Landmark Media Enterprises, LLC. He was also publisher of The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk and held leadership positions at newspapers in Greensboro and Roanoke.

Bradley chairs the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.

Kemper is the Board's vice rector and serves on the Executive, Administration and Finance, and Student Enhancement and Engagement committees and is chair of the Athletics Committee. She is also the Board's representative to the University's Honorary Degree Committee.

Kemper holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the College of William & Mary. She also earned a Master of Public Administration in public policy analysis from ODU.

Kemper is the president and founder of Kemper Consulting, a governmental relations agency.

Prior to founding Kemper Consulting, Kemper was ODU's first female vice president. In her capacity as vice president for Institutional Advancement, she was responsible for all external relations, including the Virginia General Assembly, the Hampton Roads community and the University's alumni and donors.
