Over the past two years, COVID-19 has affected everyone. The pandemic has also significantly impacted the mental health of people of all ages.
Old Dominion University's next Science Pub will explore how the pandemic is affecting communities and schools. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at Smartmouth Brewing Co. in Norfolk. Folks are asked to register by Feb. 24.
Emily Goodman-Scott, associate professor and assistant chair of the Department of Human Services & Counseling, will discuss her research and the effects we are seeing in our schools.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a societal-level trauma," Goodman-Scott said. "While it's been a challenging time, it has also brought opportunities for growth and resiliency."
Join us for a conversation with Goodman-Scott as she shares not only the challenges we face, but also examples of resiliency and growth that are occurring.
Science Pubs ODU are an opportunity for the community to engage with ODU researchers in an informal setting. Join us for a lively and engaging discussion; a curious mind is all that's needed.
