The ODU MathFest Summer Scavenger Hunt is underway and will run through Labor Day weekend.

The event, which is designed for third- to eighth-grade students, helps to illustrate that math is everywhere in the Hampton Roads community. Overall pre-registration is not required, but different locations require pre-purchased tickets.

Participating locations are The Virginia Zoo, Virginia Living Museum, Nauticus and the The Mariners' Museum and Park.

At each of the participating locations, students will be able to collect a unique MathFest activity and can be entered into a drawing for one of two Kids Fire Pro tablets by scanning a QR code at each site.

Sponsors include ODU's College of Sciences, the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center, The Virginia Training and Technical Assistance Center at ODU and Northrup Grumman.
