Roderick Williams is the McNair Program Coordinator for TRiO. He previously worked as a Residence Hall Director at Old Dominion University and as a Residence Life Coordinator at The University of Memphis. Roderick holds a B.A. in Geography and a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis from The University of Memphis. After his master's, he moved from housing roles to providing behavioral support for students in a Charter School Network and later worked with adults with severe mental health and intellectual disabilities under Tennessee's Department of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. His work improved behavioral management, helping individuals live in less restrictive environments. Roderick is a member of The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., enjoys playing tennis, and values spending time with loved ones. His research interests focus on retaining marginalized and first-generation students, especially African American males, by addressing disparities in higher education.
