About this Program

The minor in Environmental Health provides career preparation for positions in the environmental and occupational health fields, which is the evaluation and management of factors that impact the environmental health of the community. Each program area provides course work in the regulations, work and community exposures, health hazards, and controls

Health Education Specialists

Environmental Scientists and Specialists, Including Health

Requirements

What are the requirements to apply for Environmental Health at ODU?
Students entering the Minor program in Environmental Health should meet the minimum university admission requirements Undergraduate Admission.

A minor in environmental health requires a minimum of 12 semester hours of environmental health courses.  For completion of the minor, students must have a minimum overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in all courses specified as a requirement for the minor exclusive of prerequisite courses and complete a minimum of six hours in upper-level courses in the minor requirement through courses offered by Old Dominion University. Twelve semester hours of science courses are preferred.
