We celebrated National Library Week by hosting a Poetry Slam on April 14 and by providing Pop-Up Libraries throughout the week. We had 12 poets compete in the poetry slam and an audience of about 65 members. Winners of the Poetry Slam were Arthur Odango, Abigail Parsons and Brandon Hopson.
Our library staff had a great time bringing the library to the community at 5 Pop-Up libraries in various locations throughout the week. There will be two more pop-ups this coming week at the Orchid Conservatory and the Children's Learning & Research Center.
