The Old Dominion University Libraries are now providing a new service to faculty, students, and staff. This service, called "print DDA" (Demand-Driven Acquisition), enables the Old Dominion community to order print books not currently held in the Libraries' collection. This is one of the Libraries' efforts to enable our faculty, students, and staff to directly order information resources needed for study or research.
Ordering a book through print DDA is simple. Log into your account through Monarch OneSearch and search for the topic you're interested in. When you see a record for a print book marked in bold as "Not available - click Grab It for options", click "Grab It" tab and then click the blue "Order Now!" link. Make sure that the book title is the one needed and then select your "User Classification" (faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate student, undergraduate student, staff, or other). You will receive an email confirmation once the order is placed. It will take approximately two weeks for the book to arrive. Once the Libraries have received the book, you'll get an email notification to pick it up at the Perry Library Help Desk.
