As we have now passed the mid-point of summer break, our next major milestone toward integrating Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) into Old Dominion University (ODU) is the required submissions to the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). With these deadlines quickly approaching, our collaborative efforts will reach a critical milestone in the very near future. These submissions truly represent a significant step forward in our continued progress!

Also, as the General Assembly continues to consider the state budget, including resources and support for the integration, please visit https://budget.lis.virginia.gov/ to learn more about the overall process. While approval was originally anticipated in late June, work remains ongoing. Additional updates regarding the budget will be shared as further information becomes available.
