About this Program

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a specialized area within business that focuses on the effective management of an organization’s workforce. Every organization, from small start-ups to large multinational corporations requires skilled HR professionals. An HRM major is ideal for those interested in careers such as human resource management, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development, and human capital consulting. Given the evolving landscape of work and the changing workforce, the HRM major at ODU is designed to equip students with a deep understanding of human resource strategies and practices essential for thriving in a variety of organizational settings both now and in the future.
