Interested in learning more about your preschooler's early language and literacy skills? Consider participating in a research study on campus. The purpose of the study is to identify the early writing profiles of children with varying language skills. To participate, children must be 4- or 5-years-old, not have started kindergarten yet, and speak only English.
Participation includes:
·      Filling out electronic consent forms and two questionnaires about your child’s background.

·      Two testing sessions for your child (including breaks and play) to assess hearing, language, and early literacy skills at the Child Study Center at ODU. The first session will take approximately 1 hour, and the second will take approximately 30 minutes.
Participating families will receive a $25 Amazon gift card as well as a free, informational report of their child’s early language and literacy scores on the assessments. If interested, please complete the study screening form using this link: www.tinyurl.com/ODUresearch or reach out to Dr. Danika Pfeiffer, Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor in the School of Speech-Language Pathology, at dlpfeiff@odu.edu with any questions.
