COVID-19 Exposure FAQs

The COVID-19 vaccine is not required for Old Dominion University but is recommended to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Old Dominion University is offering classes both in-person and online. The University requires masks in all indoor public settings (including classrooms and common areas in residence halls) and all students, faculty, and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (exemptions may be requested for medical reasons or religious beliefs). These measures aim to promote and protect the health and well-being of our immediate campus, the local community, and the broader region.
