Consultant and advisor on international relations, development, gender, and immigrant rights. I am also the founder and president of Global YNS, a translation company dedicated to removing barriers to ensure that all people, no matter their language, can be heard and can access the opportunities and services they need. I created a career to offer monitoring and evaluation services to enhance gender equality and inclusion in organizations throughout the world. As a full expansion of my work, my company specializes in campaigns and events against gender-based violence, wage equity, women refugees, gender equality, and reproductive rights. We challenge gender stereotypes and change patriarchal views by speaking in favor of gender equality, non-binary, and inclusive language.
My Women's Studies degree gave me the knowledge and tools to land my first job in Washington D.C. as a gender specialist for The Inter-American Commission of Women. Over the course of my Women's Studies career, I traveled to Senegal and South Africa to document women's voices in politics, language, and arts. These two experiences paved the way for my professional career in the U.S. During my last semester, I was invited to contribute to a research project on domestic workers' rights and social security as a consultant to the International Labor Organization. This experience consolidated my desire to build connections through languages and to include more people, families, and communities in more ways, which ultimately inspired me to found Global YNS last year.
