Unique among public research institutions, Old Dominion University offers a renewable (up to four years) undergraduate merit scholarship. Awards are up to $16,000 USD annually to qualified applicants.
Eligibility & Terms
- Apply by April 15 (fall) or October 1 (spring)
- Cumulative, U.S. equivalent 3.25 grade point average (GPA)
- Newly admitted (never previously enrolled at ODU)
- Pursue an initial Bachelor's degree
- Valid non-immigrant visa status
- Ineligible for Virginia in-state tuition rates
- ISS covers only degree seeking courses
Supplemental Materials
- One (1) page essay indicating academic intent and personal goals
- TOEFL & SAT are optional, though highly recommended
Renewal
- Renewable for up to four years (eight semesters)
- Full-time enrollment (at least 12 credit hours for both the Fall and Spring terms)
- Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25
