ODU Army ROTC’s Ranger Challenge Team was established in 1976 by a small group of cadets who wanted adventure and a challenge beyond what ROTC labs could offer. Nicknamed “Turley’s Rangers” after Theodore “Ted” Turley, a distinguished ODU Army ROTC Cadet and Ranger Challenge Team Captain, the Ranger Challenge Team is constructed of the most physically fit and mentally tough cadets in the Monarch Battalion. Each year, the Ranger Challenge Team competes with numerous schools throughout the region to take the title of Ranger Challenge Winner. The Ranger Challenge goes through many rigorous training exercises not only to push you physically but mentally as well. Do you think you are up for the challenge?
