Course-Embedded Assessment is a type of assessment used within a course to assess student learning for both individuals and groups. It can take place in a class or a group of classes, and it can determine whether students are learning pre-established learning outcomes, or take advantage of pre-existing student motivation to perform well, and essentially assess what is being taught.
