Ensemble Opportunities

Freshman Students

The Diehn School of Music offers excellent degree programs, courses, faculty, staff, and a wonderful learning environment, each contributing to student success. Our degree programs present a comprehensive curriculum while allowing multiple opportunities for students to explore particular interests.

Transfer Students

With the exception of the BA, all programs in the Diehn School of Music require an audition, or in the case of composition, a portfolio review, to be fully accepted into the major. Transfer students are encouraged to review the entrance requirements for your major and prepare the semester before they plan to enter ODU.

Graduate Students

The Master of Music Education degree is designed to stress the development of advanced knowledge of broad-based principles and practices in music and music education for application in the public or private school, private studio, or higher education setting. Virginia Department of Education teacher licensure is not included with this degree.
