About Campus Tutoring Positions

Tutoring centers are available across campus. Types of tutoring appointments and resources available vary by each location. Representatives from tutoring locations across campus serve on a Tutoring Task Force which aims to provide quality tutors through quality supervision and training.

Our goal is to provide highly trained students to engage in intentional peer-to-peer interactions that support undergraduate students with their development as active learners and participants in the ODU community.

How to Apply

While qualifications vary depending on the tutoring centers, most tutoring positions require the following:

  • Resume
  • Completed faculty/staff reference forms (if applicable)
  • Current class schedule (if completed)
  • Unofficial ODU college transcript

Be sure to read through specific position descriptions and application requirements for each of the tutoring centers on campus.

CRLA or Custom Tutor/Mentor Training

CRLA Tutor and Peer-educator training: CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) is a group of student-oriented professionals.
