Below are some advising basics:
- All incoming freshmen will be assigned to a professional advisor upon admission to ODU.
- All transfer students are advised initially by Hayden Cunningham.
- Departmental advising takes place once students are in CHEM 211. Students are assigned to academic advisors based on alphabetical order of their last name.
Placement Tests
Students should complete the following placement tests before Monarch Orientation so that they can be placed in the appropriate Chemistry and Math classes in their first semester.
