The Darden College of Education and Professional Studies (DCEPS) is excited to undertake an in-depth strategic planning process this academic year. This initiative aligns with our belief in striving to become the best version of ourselves, rather than remaining where we are. The planning process will be driven by the participation of our faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders, culminating in an impactful plan with achievable, measurable, and sustainable strategies that will set the college on a path to lasting success.
As we progress through the planning process, we will routinely share updates to keep you informed about our progress and ways to get involved.
We extend our gratitude for your support and dedication to the success of this plan, and we invite you to reference this page throughout the process for updates.
Message From the Dean
Dear Darden College community,
I am pleased to share that the Darden College of Education & Professional Studies is entering an exciting new phase in our efforts to continuously enhance our college and enable the members of our community – whether faculty and staff or the learners we serve – to continue to do their best work. With the many changes our college has experienced in recent years, we now have a unique opportunity to assess our progress and to come together to collectively shape a vision for our future.
Through insightful collaboration with our faculty, staff, students, and valued stakeholders, we are pursuing the development of a strategic plan that will guide our college for years to come. This comprehensive planning process that will take place over the 2024-2025 academic year, providing us with an opportunity to align the work of our college with the priorities of the broader institution identified through the 2023-2028 Forward-Focused: Where Innovation Meets Possibilities strategic plan.
I am grateful for the work each of you is doing, and I strongly encourage you to actively participate throughout this planning process. Your feedback is integral to the success and eventual implementation of our strategic plan. Our college contains a wonderful diversity of discipline. As we consider our future, we want to intentionally celebrate and leverage the strengths of our diverse community. DCEPS is committed to serving its learners and being leaders in knowledge creation and discovery – this commitment also extends to serving our communities, which will remain a top priority as we look to the future.
