The E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate strives to connect those engaged or interested in real estate and economic development to the research, curriculum and students at Old Dominion University. Through programming, research initiatives and publications, the Center partners with its members, ODU alumni and business leaders to educate the community and provide ODU students with enrichment experiences that facilitate their professional development.
The Center supports the programs housed in the Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate in helping to foster and nurture the next generation of real estate leaders. Through valuable networking opportunities, ODU students obtain important connections in the real estate community across Hampton Roads and beyond.
Mission
The mission of the E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate is to advance knowledge, conduct research and be a valuable resource supporting the real estate community in Hampton Roads. This is achieved by:
- Supporting the educational programs of the Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate through mentoring, internships, scholarships and networking opportunities.
- Inform business practice and facilitate the interchange of knowledge and information through regular events which connect professionals in the private and public sector, and the ODU community.
- Conduct research on real estate, economic and public policy issues on pertinent issues for Hampton Roads and the broader region.
- Support, and help disseminate, the world-leading academic research conducted by faculty within the Strome College of Business and across the ODU community.
