Real estate is a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Its complexity is driven by it being at the intersection of a wide variety of issues. Whether in an academic or applied context, issues as diverse as economic development, urban planning, public policy, finance and taxation all influence the real estate market and decision making. This is in addition to project specific concerns such as architectural design and construction management. The nature of real estate as an applied and interdisciplinary field means that community engagement is essential for any successful academic program.
The members of the E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate are leading regional and national industry practitioners and play a key role in ensuring that the goals of the Center, and the Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate, are achieved. The Center members contribute, and benefit, in a number of ways.
