Volunteer Opportunities

Doug Alexander, director of environmental health and safety,

Do you believe in the concept of recycling and want to do more than just talk about it? If so consider becoming a Recycling Volunteer.

Recycling Volunteers can choose to participate in wide variety of activities such as posting flyers around campus, answering questions at an information table, giving presentations, or volunteering on Earth Day, America Recycles Day and RecycleMania.

Besides being a part of a worthy cause, Recycling Volunteers receive a t-shirt for their efforts.

Fill out a Volunteer Interest Form below (below) and someone will get in contact with you within a week.

If you live in a residence hall and want or need to do community service, you can help run the recycling program in your building as a Recycling Ambassador. Recycling Ambassadors attend a one-hour training class where you will learn how to improve recycling in your hall. It could be through advertising, contests, games, or some other creative idea! You would act as liaison between your residence hall and the Recycling Department.
