Having retired from ODU [in May 2018] after a 20-plus-years tenure, I can honestly say that my time at UKK many years ago was one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic life. My only regret is that it was too short.

The nice thing about Fulbright is that most awards pay for family members to come as long as they stay the entire time. The drawback is there's a lot to anticipate and plan with being away and living out of the country for almost a year. The good news is that it is all doable-at least so far!

Each of us as Fulbright representatives realized our own small role in representing our country... We were warmly welcomed and thanked for our own small efforts for international outreach. I was proud to be part of the Fulbright program.
