Every student at the School of Supply Chain, Logistics, and Maritime Operations (SSCLMO) is a member of the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM, formerly APICS). ASCM is the global leader in supply chain organizational transformation, innovation and leadership. As the largest nonprofit association for supply chain, ASCM is an unbiased partner, connecting supply chain professionals and companies around the world to the newest thought leadership on all aspects of supply chain. ASCM is built on a foundation of APICS certification and training spanning 60 years. Student membership to ASCM is FREE and is possibly the best investment to network with industry leaders towards a career in supply chain and logistics.
The SSCLMO also partners with the Propeller Club of the United States, a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to promoting the maritime industry.

As a member of the Propeller Club, students join a global community that advocates for the importance and necessity of all waterborne commerce. The club aggressively promotes the maritime industry by partnering with similar organizations and educating both legislators and the public about its significance. Through the Propeller Club, students participate in initiatives that foster their growth as future leaders of the maritime sector. The ODU Student Propeller Club is one of the 16 student port clubs across the US.
