Our faculty have had work screened on PBS and Netflix, had feature films receive a limited worldwide theatrical release, directed plays on and off-Broadway, and performed works at major international fringe festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
They've appeared as guest experts on over 100 local and national radio and television shows, have published opinion pieces in the Washington Post, and have contributed hundreds of blog posts and other online writing for public and academic audiences, several of which have been accessed by over 100,000 readers.
And, have decades of professional experience working in the film and television industries as writers, producers, and directors, in journalism and public relations, in strategic communication, and for professional dance and theatre companies, including in the roles of creative director.
Thirty-one new officers, including 24 from ODU, swore an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."
