The Department of Marketing is proud to support active student organizations. We highly recommend that you become involved with at least one of these organizations during your time at ODU. Some of the benefits of membership in these student organizations include the ability to interact with students who have common interests, the opportunity to network with professionals in the community, and the ability to gain experience through real-world marketing projects.

AMA ODU Student Chapter

The American Marketing Association (AMA) Club, affectionally known as the Strome Marketers, offers marketing majors and those with an interest in marketing an opportunity to engage with professionals in the industry, get involved in community service, develop lifelong friendships, and have fun. The club is proud to be recognized by the Collegiate AMA for Outstanding Chapter Planning and engaged with the Professional Chapter of the AMA in Hampton Roads. AMA builds leaders through active participation and supports numerous annual events including Marketing & Sales Week, the Strome Pantry and Monarch Clothing Closet Drives, the Super Ad Bowl, and Panel Discussions with our Alumni.
