Dedicated to Protecting ODU

The Old Dominion University Police Department is dedicated to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for its students, staff, and visitors. This includes a proactive approach to law enforcement and aggressive problem-solving techniques for identified crime trends. We employ 55 sworn law enforcement officers who provide 24-hour protection for more than 25,000 students, faculty, and staff. We cover the 288 acre main campus and the surrounding communities of Lamberts Point, Larchmont, and Highland Park of our concurrent jurisdiction in the City of Norfolk.
